Stainless Steel Balls (440C)

440C stainless steel balls exhibit excellent toughness and hardness properties combined with corrosion resistance. Typical applications include ball bearings, ball screws, ball bushings, valve applications and applications where some level of corrosion resistance is required. Vacuum Induction melted/vacuum arc re-melted (VM)-(VIN-MAR) materials are available upon request.

Passivation to ASTM A380 and QQ P 35 is available upon request.

Heat Treating: We can provide NADCAP Heat Treating to meet AMS2759; AMS2759/5 with a standard HR/C of 58-65; Boeing Approved BAC5617, Lockheed Martin approved; CQI-9; MIL-H-6875; and AMS-H-6875.

We can also meet a microstructure that is finer than 7.5 grain size per ASTM E112 and less than 7.0% retained austenite per ASTM E975.

NADCAP Passivation can be provided per Aerospace AMS2700; ASTM A380; and AMS-QQ-P-35.
